The main duty was to organize the participation of the company at various trade shows across the globe. The aim was to maximize the presence at the show by sponsoring different events which required a lot of preparation as well as very close co-operation with the organizers of the show. On top of that it was my duty to set up the meetings with the potential partners for the whole team (usually 5-6 people). Setting up the logistics for both team members and promotional materials was also part of the job. As the leading marketing manager I also took responsibility to write regular articles for the key media of the industry.

There were several stages in this process: to search for a suitable web site, to find a way to get in touch with its owner, to persuade the owner to sell the add space and last but not least to set up the technical side of things. Devising the business plan and running the negotiations process to attract the company to the Russian market, certification of Class 2A medical device with Roszdravnadzor, solving logistics and customs issues, finding a distributor and signing a long-term agreement.

Development and implementation of an innovative language teaching methods, development of a new student-teacher interaction methods using the Internet, creation of a business plan and finding funds, creating the company including: finding suitable premises, staff, branding, web site, attracting clients, communication with the clients and day-to-day management of the company. The company was sold as a profitable business.

Development of the business plan and presenting it to the key decision makers within the company, devising a plan for stage III and IV clinical trials in Russia, finding suitable clinical trials centers and negotiating with doctors and managerial staff the conditions for conducting the trials, finding and translating legal documentation relevant to clinical trials in Russia, budgeting and reporting to the company management on the completed work and funds spent.

Team management, including staff and transport scheduling, delegation of responsibilities, payroll calculation, staff appraisals and reporting to senior management on stock take results.

Inventory counts in shopping centres and supermarkets and storage facilities for client companies (Sainsbury’s, Woolworth, Debenhams, House of Fraser).
