From November 2012 till October 2013 I was based Dubai, UAE Branch and temporary executed my duties from there.
Plan, arrange and control of Logistics and Customs' functional units activities based on the Operator's production and business objectives in accordance with the requirements of Operator’s Regulatory and Procedural Documents (The”RPD”);
Analyze work programs, planned shipments, periodical reports etc. and identify key areas to reduce the Operator's expenses, optimize terms of delivery, minimize potential risks, etc.;
Take part in the meeting with contractors to achieve maximum efficiency in delivery of goods for Project implementation;
Assign tasks to directly subordinated employees; develop profession skills, motivation of Logistics & Customs Clearance functional unit’s employees;
Develop of functional strategy within the framework of Logistics and Customs Clearance functional unit activities.
Organize and control over registration of contracts in Iraqi Government South Oil Company (The”SOC”) and Iraqi Government Customs Authorities;
Obtain levy exemption for Operator's and Contractor’s cargo;
Coordinate customs clearance activities in SOC and South Customs;
Interface with key employees of South Customs and SOC for current issues;
Control over contractors' activity, checking invoices for service payment and terminal expenses. Preparation and timely submission of service payment documents to the Operator's accounting office;
Perform operations in SAP system;
Drafting letters and applications addressed to Iraqi Customs and other authorities for permissions, clarifications, etc. on the issues of its competence;
Organize and control over preparation of documents to export samples, re-export of failed, temporarily imported equipment;
Take part in the meeting for Logistics and Customs issues with Operator's and contractor's employees;
Interface with other Procurement Directorate’s functional units and Operator's business units to perform related tasks/assignments;
Ensure availability and maintenance of smooth well-organized information exchange channel;
Arrange coordination with contract administrators and other relevant employees to prepare required documentation while obtaining permits and licenses.
Arrange timely obtaining of certificates, licenses, permits and unhampered customs clearance of cargo for the Operator's needs and Contractor's cargo;
Cooperate with Iraqi Customs and other Iraqi state authorities across all phases of obtaining permission;
Organize information exchange between Operator, contractors and Iraqi State Authorities.
Develop, revise and update Operator's RPD in the Logistics & Customs functional areas to organize work activities and for coordination with other functional areas/units, such as finance, accounting, production, security corporate service, security, etc.;
Ensure compliance of Operator's RPD in the Logistics & Customs' functional area with DPSC (The “Development and Production Service Contract), Iraqi Customs Law and legislation;
Develop proposals on improvement of efficiency of logistics chain activities keeping in mind all specific factors which may impact;
Provide functional support to employees on issues related to the Logistics & Customs activities, i.e. planning, delivery, expediting, etc.
Control over Vessels discharging and road transportation process.
Supervision of the Customs Control Zone (Customs bonded warehouse).
Responsible for the overall coordination of materials and equipment movement from the supplier to end.
Ensuring that the Operations are supported by proactively managing logistics functions which will include but not be restricted to customs, transportation, inventory management, asset reconciliation, pre-qualification and compliance with QHSE requirements.
Act as the primary focal point for all in/outbound transportation, import/export activities including analyzing the business while taking ownership of establishing new opportunities to improve processes or decrease secondary distribution spend. Continual management and direction of transport and customs service providers to work as an interface between operations and the customs clearance/freight agents and various administrations. Responsible for monthly statistics data, monthly reporting is submitted on time and accurately.
Keep Operations up to date about ongoing/forthcoming customs/transport activities. Ensure internal alignment and common goals/objectives to support internal customers.
Administrate freight-forwarding and logistics in Iraq, International logistics and Third Party Inspection contracts. (Budget of the contracts is $29.000.000)
