My primary responsibility was Oracle DBA. I performed migrations of the Bank's principal database at first from Oracle 9i on Linux/x86 platoform to Oracle 9i on HP-UX 11i v3/Itanium platform, and then from 9i to 10i on the same HP-UX 11i v3/Itanium platform. I also managed hardware infrastructure for this database: HP Integrity rx6600 servers, Brocade-manufactured SAN switches, HP EVA 6000 disk arrays and tape library. As an Oracle DBA, I carried out the regular deployments of PL/SQL-based applications within development, testing and production environments. That activity comprised data export/import operations and some PL/SQL coding to provide data consistency and database objects validity. I also managed a few company's Linux servers unrelated to the principal database.

Deployment and support of AutobahnFX(tm) over-the-counter foreign exchange system (j2se application + Oracle database + message passing middleware based network of relationships with other financial software systems), java application deployment, UNIX shell and SQL scripting, infrastructure management (IP network, UNIX servers and SAN storage).

Deployment and support of the Bill-Master billing system, a software product of inline technologies. This activity included UNIX (Sun Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD) system administrator tasks performed on newly deployed systems on the customer sites, some Oracle DBA tasks, network equipment (mostly Cisco routers and voice gateways) configuration tasks or interaction with networking specialists of the customer, and, as a principal task, deployment and support of the Bill-Master software.

Administering of about 50 UNIX servers, (x86 and Sun SPARC, from entry to enterprise level), running Sun Solaris versions 2.5.1 - 9, Linux (Red Hat from 5.2 to RHEL 3.x), FreeBSD, SCO OpenServer servers, and the networking and database applications running on them. Networking applications: DNS, SMTP (sendmail and postfix), pop3 and IMAP mail servers, news servers, RADIUS and TACACS+ AAA-servers, company's own billing system. Databases: Oracle 8, 8i and 9i DBMS.

System administration on duty by 12-hours shift hours in the Port.ru/Mail.ru Internet company. Administering (troubleshooting and new software deployment) of company's servers: web, email (SMTP, pop3, IMAP), DNS and database (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle servers), mostly Linux/FreeBSD on x86 hardware, but also some Sun Solaris on SPARC servers.
